2008 SC State Shoot: Mother Nature let herself be known this year and decided to rain on our parade. Sunday turned out nice, if a bit cold, and we had some great shooting. Much thanks to all involved, including but not limited to: Ron Williams, scorekeeping; John Mouzon, Range Officer; and the Gaineys and Jim Rozelle for food prep and logistics. I will try to get all the scores published next month.

Next Business Meeting: 7:30PM Thursday, 3 April 2008, at Roy Dossett’s place. All interested parties are encouraged to attend. We will be electing new officers for the next year.

The April shoot will be Sunday the 27th and the following business meeting will be Thursday, May 1st.

New Shoot Schedule: At each shoot we will schedule 6-7 targets; 3 Aggregate, 1-2 Animal or non-standard (Hunters, NGNG, etc), and 2 Pistol or Musket. The relays will be held to a strict 20 minute limit. Targets may be shot in any order and more than one target may be shot during a relay. Marked targets may be shot for more than one relay. Shooters may shoot any or all of the targets as they wish, in any order.

If you require any black powder (GOEX FFFg $12.50/lb) please contact the Club Secretary. We have just ordered a new shipment and it should arrive before the March shoot on the 30th. You may pick it up at my place or at the next shoot but first come, first served.

For Sale:

Jim Rozelle has 4 (or more) boxes of .490 Hornady Swaged Round Balls, $500 each box.

CLUB DUES: Plan ahead for this year’s dues. $75 is needed by the first shoot of the year (Jan 27th) to remain in good standing.

If you have items for sale that you would like included in the newsletter, contact the Club Secretary.

If you would prefer to receive the newsletter by E-mail, please contact the Club Secretary by E-mail. I would like to encourage those of you who can use this method of delivery to do so; mailing costs are nearly $800 per member per year.

Please bring all newsletter, shooting schedule, and membership list corrections, additions, or deletions to the attention of the Secretary.
