Next Business Meeting: 7:30PM Thursday, 4 December 2008, to be held at Mike Arthur’s home. All members and interested parties are encouraged to attend.

The Jan. shoot will be Sunday the 25th. The following business meeting will be Thursday, January 29th.

Here is what’s happening for the November shoot: On Saturday the 22nd of Nov. we will hold a blanket shoot from 1 PM to 4 PM. This shoot will be a re-entry style shoot, meaning you may shoot as many targets as you wish, at $1 each, until you have done your best. We will be using a new target introduced by Roy Dossat that consists of 5 intersecting lines. (See last month’s newsletter) Scoring will consist of totaling the distance of 5 shots to each of the line intersections, one intersection per shot. Each shooter will place on the blanket an item relating to our primitive shooting style, preferably hand made, with a value of approximately $15-$25. The top shooter will have first choice from the blanket, followed by the other shooters in order.

Also on tap for Saturday is a pig roast for the evening meal, with bread, beans, corn, potato salad, and coleslaw being provided by various members. If there is something else you want to share with the group, feel free to bring it. Dessert looks like an area to be covered yet. Each shooter should bring your own eating utensils, liquid refreshment, and water for drinking and washing.

Everyone is invited to camp on the range Saturday night.

Sunday’s shoot will be our annual Meat shoot, with a $5 range fee. Prizes will be $20 and $10 gift certificates to one of the local grocery stores. Standings will be determined by the overall (aggregate + novelty) score.
