January 2009 Newsletter

The January shoot is Sun. the 25th. 0900-1130 Practice, 1130-1230 Lunch, 1230 Shoot.

Next Business Meeting: 7:30PM Thursday, 29 January 2009, to be held at Rocky Thomas’ home. All members and interested parties are encouraged to attend.

2009 Officer Elections: Club Officers will be elected at the January 29th business meeting. Please mark your calendar and plan to attend. ALL positions are up for election.

The Feb. shoot will be Sunday the 22nd. The following business meeting will be Thursday, February 26th.

Notice: Annual club fees of $75 are due by the Jan. 2009 shoot. A large portion of the club’s yearly expenses, lease and insurance, are paid in late Jan – early Feb., therefore prompt remittance is appreciated.

We are looking into holding another Oyster Roast this year in Feb. Please come to the Jan. meeting to help us plan this event.

The club is also planning to hold a blanket shoot during the April shoot. Items for the blanket should be valued at approximately $15 to $25, preferably hand made, and be black powder era related. Please, no Britney Spears CDs!

2009 State Shoot: The SC Po’ Boys is hosting the 2009 State Shoot on April 10-12. Visit their website at http://scpoboys.googlepages.com/ for more information.

Western Carolina Offhand Championship: July 11-13 hosted by the French Broad Rifles. Contact Harry Chadwick, HChadw1932@aol.com.
