March 2009 Newsletter

The March shoot is Sun. the 29th. 0900-1130 Practice, 1130-1230 Lunch, 1230 Shoot.

Next Business Meeting: 7:30PM Thursday, 2 April 2009, to be held at Jim Rozelle’s home. All members and interested parties are encouraged to attend.

The April shoot will be Sunday the 26th. The following business meeting will be Thursday, April 30th.

Oyster Roast: If you missed this you missed some good eating. Jim and his lovely young bride did a wonderful job hosting this event. Much thanks to the Rozelles.

Notice: Annual club fees of $75 are now overdue. A large portion of the club’s yearly expenses, lease and insurance, are paid in late Jan – early Feb., therefore prompt remittance is appreciated.

The club is also planning to hold a blanket shoot during the April shoot. Items for the blanket should be valued at approximately $15 to $25, preferably hand made, and be black powder era related. Please, no Britney Spears CDs!

White Oak River Longrifles Spring Rendevous: WORL is hosting a shoot April 17-19 near Hubert, NC. Contact James, 910-326-1893 or Bob, 910-743-0476 for more information.

Jim informs me that the NC Territorial has been canceled. The NC club (?) will be holding a memorial shoot on the same date using the same schedule but without NMLRA sponsorship. Contact Jim Rozelle for further information.
