The August shoot will be Sunday the 31st and the following business meeting will be Thursday, September 4th.

Correction: Last month's auxiliary scores were for a PISTOL match vice Musket.

Also continued discussing an overnight camping event/cookout prior to a Sunday shoot and some fun shoots on Sat. & Sun. Jim Rozelle and Roy Dossat may be marshalling these plans. Lots of ideas passed around but no consensus reached. Have any thoughts on the matter? Talk to one of the Club officers or come to the next meeting.

New Shoot Schedule: At each shoot we will schedule 6-7 targets; 3 Aggregate, 1-2 Animal or non-standard (Hunters, NGNG, etc), and 2 Pistol or Musket. The relays will be held to a strict 20 minute limit. Targets may be shot in any order and more than one target may be shot during a relay. Marked targets may be shot for more than one relay. Shooters may shoot any or all of the targets as they wish, in any order.

Next Business Meeting: 7:30PM Thursday, 3 July 2008, at John Mouzon’s home. All members and interested parties are encouraged to attend. John plans on holding a Flintlock class for those interested in the basics.

The July shoot will be Sunday the 27th and the following business meeting will be Thursday, July 31st.

From the May Meeting: Treasurer reports club cash assets at $410000. Thinking far ahead, there was much discussion on when to hold the 2010 State Championship Shoot (our expected next date) to avoid the gnats and the weather and ensure we can get an announcement into Muzzle Blasts.

Also discussed was an overnight camping event/cookout prior to a Sunday shoot.

Shooters may shoot any or all of the targets as they wish, in any order.

For Sale:

If you require any black powder (GOEX FFg-FFFFg $12.50/lb) please contact the Club Secretary. Currently we have no powder on hand; when the hew and cry becomes great enough, we will order more.

CLUB DUES: There are still a few members who have not paid their 2008 dues. $75 is needed by the first shoot of the year (Jan 27th) to remain in good standing.

If you have items for sale that you would like included in the newsletter, contact the Club Secretary.
