Next Business Meeting: 7:30PM Thursday, 1 April, to be held at Roy Dossat’s home, 1641 McClain St, Charleston, SC 29407, 843-556-3073. All are encouraged to attend as this will be the last meeting before the state shoot.
The March shoot will be on the 28th and the meeting following will be the 1st of Apr 2010.
Many thanks to all participants in the range cleanup. We now have all new target stands and the range looks good..
SC State Shoot 2010: Dates are now firm: 9 – 11 April 2010.
The topic of our last meeting was, again, the 2010 South Carolina State Shoot.. A barbecue dinner will be held at the state shoot on Saturday, March 10th in the early evening. Tickets will be sold prior to the meal. Mike Arthur has volunteered to supply soft drinks for sale during the shoot. Rocky Thomas will be ordering and/or printing needed targets and assembling the packets.
Plaques have been made and John Mouzon has assembled a pistol for the State Champion. We will be organizing a scoring committee and calling for registration volunteers. Stay tuned for further developments.

SC State Shoot 2010: Dates are now firm: 9 – 11 April 2010.
The topic of our last meeting was, again, the 2010 South Carolina State Shoot. We will be conducting repairs on the range on the 6th of March (rain date 13 Mar.) Rick Buxton has volunteered to measure up the range, inventory our supplies, and compile a list of needed materials. We have 1x4’s, will probably need some 4x4 for posts and 2x4 for general use.
Plaques have been made and John Mouzon has assembled a pistol for the State Champion. We will be organizing a scoring committee and calling for registration volunteers. Stay tuned for further developments.

November Blanket Shoot and “Turkey ” Shoot: The November shoot will be Saturday & Sunday the 21st & 22nd. Saturday will be a fun shoot and blanket shoot from 1 PM until 4 PM. We will have (no charge) BBQ, beans, coleslaw, sweet tea, etc. at about 5 PM. If some of you could bring dessert; pie, cake, ice cream? that would be great. Those who wish to stay overnight at the range are encouraged to do so.
Sunday’s Turkey shoot will have $20 gift certificates for top shooters and $10 certificates for all others. A $5 range fee will apply.

Our last shipment of black powder is now exhausted. Lee Hoffecker has procured some bulk powder (Goex Rifle 3F) for us at a good price, about $11.25/lb. You will need to provide an empty can or cans to trade. We should have this at the October shoot. Contact the Secretary with your requirements.
