Next Business Meeting: 7:30PM Thursday, 1 May 2008, at Jim Rozelle’s place. All interested parties are encouraged to attend.

Election Results: Jim Rozelle was elected to the office of Vice President. All other officers remain in their current positions.

The May shoot will be Sunday the 25^th and the following business meeting will be Thursday, May 29^th.

New Shoot Schedule: At each shoot we will schedule 6-7 targets; 3 Aggregate, 1-2 Animal or non-standard (Hunters, NGNG, etc), and 2 Pistol or Musket. The relays will be held to a strict 20 minute limit. Targets may be shot in any order and more than one target may be shot during a relay. Marked targets may be shot for more than one relay. Shooters may shoot any or all of the targets as they wish, in any order.

If you require any black powder (GOEX FFFg $12.50/lb) please contact the Club Secretary. I have several cans left from the last shipment. You may pick it up at my place or at the next shoot but first come, first served.

Jim Rozelle has 4 (or more) boxes of .490 Hornady Swaged Round Balls, $5⁰⁰ each box.

CLUB DUES: There are still a few members who have not paid their 2008 dues. $75 is needed by the first shoot of the year (Jan 27^th) to remain in good standing.

2008 SC State Shoot: Mother Nature let herself be known this year and decided to rain on our parade. Sunday turned out nice, if a bit cold, and we had some great shooting. Much thanks to all involved, including but not limited to: Ron Williams, scorekeeping; John Mouzon, Range Officer; and the Gaineys and Jim Rozelle for food prep and logistics. I will try to get all the scores published next month.

Next Business Meeting: 7:30PM Thursday, 3 April 2008, at Roy Dossett’s place. All interested parties are encouraged to attend. We will be electing new officers for the next year.

Range Repairs! The repairs on Sat. the 26^th went very well. Thanks to all who showed up, it’s all looking good for the State Shoot.

*Oyster Roast* The oyster roast on 2 Feb was a big success. We had a great turnout and lots of excellent food.

Next Business Meeting: 7:30PM Thursday, 28 February 2008, at John Mouzon’s place. All interested parties are encouraged to attend. Maximum participation is required to ensure a successful State shoot. We will be needing individuals and teams for registration, scoring, range control, and food.

The March shoot will be Sunday the 30^th and the following business meeting will be Thursday, April 3^rd.

The Club will be hosting the 2008 South Carolina State Shoot. We have established the shoot dates of 7-9 March 2008, less than 1 short month from now.

The Club will be making wood plaques as we have done in past years, with John and Paul Gainey handling wood, shaping, and staining, Rocky will handle plates and medallions. Greg Clem will be heading the Registration group and Ron Williams will head up Scoring. John will be the Senior Range Officer. Much assistance will be needed by all of the officers, including range control and target pullers. Paul Gainey is working on the food purchases and preparation. Please contact any of the above if you can help.

We have selected a pocketed T-shirt with a single stenciled logo on the pocket. Purchase price for the shirts will be $12. The registration fee has been established at $12 and registration allows for 1 shirt to be purchased at ½ price.

Range Repairs! On Sat. the 26^th we will be repairing the range in preparation for the State Shoot. Start time will be about 0900 and we will be there until the work is finished, 3-4 hours. Only got an hour? Great, we can use you. Bring hammers, saws, shovels, gloves, post hole diggers, water, and lunch. Maximum participation means minimum time to finish. All those who have volunteered to supply materials, please bring those with you or arrange with one of the Club officers for delivery.

*Oyster Roast* Saturday 2 Feb the Club will be hosting an Oyster Roast for all members and their families. Rocky Thomas will be calling everyone to coordinate food and drink. Don’t forget to ask him what time to be there! Roast will be held at Rocky’s place in Pimlico, BYOB and chairs.
